Airline Qantas has announced that it is to launch a new cabin crew uniform for the winter season.
The change in workwear will coincide with the launch of its new A380 flights in October.
Lesley Grant, Qantas group general manager of customer product and services, explained that the new corporate clothing is "fresh, contemporary and reflects our premium style".
She said: "While the uniforms remain stylish and distinctive and are popular with both our crew members and customers, the time is right to introduce a new colour palette.
"Australian wool suits in black are combined with Wirriyarra scarves or ties in a new 'dusk' print - characterised by silver and blue tones - and a dusk print dress has been created for female flight attendants."
The new corporate clothing was conceived at the Balarinji Design Studio.
Qantas uniform has undergone a total of nine changes since the first white waiters' jackets were worn by the male staff to serve dinner on flights in 1938.
Yves Sain Laurent, George Gross and Emilio Pucci are just some of the renowned designers who have been responsible for creating some of the unique uniform styles for Qantas over the years.
