New corporate clothing for Empire State Building guards

Tue, 27 May 2008 15:57

Staff at the Empire State Building in New York have been kitted out with new corporate clothing as part of an overhaul of the building's own makeover.

Some 300 new custom-made sets of corporate clothing, with each uniform consisting of three jackets, four pairs of trousers and 11 shirts, have been delivered to guards working at the building, the New York Times reports.

The corporate clothing comes in a shade of red dubbed "Empire State burgundy" and matches the new interior of the towering structure.

"We thought if you look at the different marbles here, you'll see a common theme, which is maroon. That's where the colour came from," remarked James Connors, general manager at the Empire State Building.

The first Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show was recently held at the Birmingham NEC and has been said to have been a success, fibre2fashion.com reports.
