Printed t-shirts news: Fashion designers launch printed clothing for a good cause

Consilium clothing - experts in screen printed clothing.

A group of fashion designers has created a range of printed clothing in support of the Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF).

Giles Deacon, Zandra Rhodes, Allegra Hicks and John Rocha all gave their design talents to create the printed t-shirts in aid of exploited garment workers around the world.

Made from organic and fairly-traded cotton, the exclusive items of printed clothing for men and women can be purchased for £30 each from the EJF website.

Models Ekat Kiseleva, Aline Weber, Karlie Kloss, Laura Bailey, Ahsley Jensen and Jasmine Guinness have also stepped up to promote the printed t-shirts.

Ms Guinness told Vogue: "Cotton production today can be incredibly poisonous to the world's ecosystems."

"We have had it too cheap for too long and now we have to pay a little more, not just for the quality of our t-shirts but for the quality of the lives of the pickers, the producers and the planet," she added.

UK-based charity the EJF works on an international level via support systems and campaigning to empower people suffering from environmental abuse.
