A dispute over the logo adopted by pop group Crystal Castles which appeared on printed t-shirts has been resolved, it has been revealed.
Artist Trevor Brown had been embroiled in a disagreement with the band over the use of the 'Bruised Madonna' motif, which had originally been designed by Brown.
However, the Canadian group's management team has since offered to buy the rights to the printed t-shirt's logo, bringing the two-year dispute to a close.
Writing on the Baby Art blog, the artist stated that the band had "redeemed themselves - I've been paid off!".
"I think Crystal Castles have paid the penalty for their indiscretions."
Brown had originally alleged that the band had continued to make use of the logo without receiving his permission to do so, which led to a series of outbursts on his blog.
"The black eyed Madonna is now officially and legally theirs, to do with as they please
at least until Maddy herself files a lawsuit, ha ha," he added.
