Three students from the United States have designed their own printed t-shirts for a special rock concert which aims to raise money for victims of the Darfur conflict.
The 17-year-olds organised the Rock for Darfur event which will be held at their school, Scituate High in Massachusetts, on Sunday May 25th, the Boston Globe reports.
Kristine Downing, Colleen Farragher, and Sydney O'Connell said they hope the eight-hour gig, which will feature bands including ZOX, Barefoot Truth, Rhyging, Interrobang, and Emergency Exit, will raise awareness of the situation in Darfur.
The concert will be funded by a grant from Scituate High School Opportunities and Resources for Education, ticket sales and sales of specially printed t-shirts.
A picture in the Boston Globe shows the promotional clothing, which features a Save Darfur slogan and comes in a range of colours, allowing concertgoers to demonstrate their support for the cause.
Meanwhile another student has been using printed t-shirts to attract some attention, this time to win the Mr Viking contest at Forest Grove High School in Oregon.
According to the Forest Grove News-Times Damian Peters performed a song and dance routine in which he wore up to 30 printed t-shirts emblazoned with song lyrics and took them off one by one in time to the music.
